Ignorance breeds

Ignorance breeds monsters to fill up the vacancies of the soul that are unoccupied by the verities of knowledge.– Horace Mann.

There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action.– Goethe.

“Therefore, I say this, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk even as also the rest of the nations walk, in the vanity of their mind, having been darkened in the intellect, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance which is in them because of the hardness of their heart, who, having cast off all feeling, gave themselves up to lust, to the working of all uncleanness with greediness. But you have not so learned Christ” (Ephesians 4:17-20).

“Then be in obedience to every creation of men because of the Lord; whether to a king, as being supreme; or to governors, as through Him having indeed being sent for vengeance on evildoers, but praise on well doers, because so is the will of God, doing good to silence the ignorance of foolish men” (1 Peter 2:13-15).

“But these as unreasoning natural beasts, having been born for capture and corruption, speaking evil in that of which they are ignorant, they shall utterly perish in their corruption” (2 Peter 2:12).

“Brothers, truly my heart’s pleasure and supplication to God on behalf of Israel is for it to be saved. For I testify to them that they have zeal to God, but not according to knowledge. For being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of Law for righteousness to everyone that believes” (Romans 10:1-4).
