Aligned with the Maligned

I recently came across this quote from the internet:

“Like Moses, if it comes down to a choice of being accepted in Pharaoh’s house or identifying with the despised people of God — always choose the latter.”

Yes indeed.

“Having become great, Moses by faith refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, having chosen rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than for a time to have enjoyment of sin; having counted the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to the reward. By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the anger of the king; for he kept on as seeing the Invisible One. By faith he made the Passover, and the sprinkling of blood, that the one destroying the first-born might not touch them. By faith they passed through the Red Sea, as through dry land; by which, the Egyptians taking the attempt, were swallowed up” (Hebrews 11:24-29).
