Little Women

I am not promoting or endorsing Piper as a true Christian when I quote from him, but this quote is apt (I think the context of this was an address of sorts to President Obama).

“No, Mr. President, you are not protecting women; you are authorizing the destruction of 500,000 little women every year.

No, Mr. President, you are not protecting reproductive freedom; you are authorizing the destruction of freedom for one million little human beings every year.

No, Mr. President, killing our children is killing our children no matter how many times you call it a private family matter. You may say it is a private family matter over and over and over, and still they are dead. And we killed them. And you, would have it remain legal” (John Piper; underlining mine).

What has always left me aghast is how this issue of baby-murder is even up for debate among people with a smidgen of moral sense. Ah, well — that is the issue isn’t it? It is NOT up for debate among people with a smidgen of moral sense. It is only up for debate among those devoid of natural affection and whose consciences are seared as with a hot iron.

“who knowing the righteous order of God, that those practicing such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but also approve those practicing [them]. … For when nations not having Law do by nature the things of the Law, they not having Law are a law to themselves, who show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience witnessing with [them,] and the thoughts between one another accusing or even excusing” (Romans 1:32, 2:14-15).

There are many God-hating unregenerate persons who at least have the moral sense to discern that since abortion is clearly murder, therefore abortion doctors are “worthy of death” (Romans 1:32).

A related note: To those who enjoy bandying about the term “misogynist” (in various & sundry contexts), I’d probably first ask them whether or not they are “pro-choice” (i.e., anti-life/pro-murder) with regard to the choices of little women.
